International Women’s Day is Monday, March 8th and is a day celebrated globally to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action and significant activity is seen worldwide as rallies are conducted for women’s equality and groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements.
In honor of this day, Friends After Diagnosis is hosting a virtual Women in the Arts Festival on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The featured speaker is Rev. Dr. Crystal Bujol and this celebration will also have entertainment from folk singer Cosy Sheridan, poetry readings courtesy of the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation, and GoodLife Fitness and Friends in Motion Dance Troupe.
